Welcome to our April Newsletter!
We hope you all had a lovely Easter break, here at the KatKabin office we ate far too much chocolate and listened to tales of Mutty, the Brinsea cat chasing a small, foil wrapped chocolate egg round the kitchen floor at home - he had hours of fun with it! He wasn't allowed to eat the egg as chocolate is not at all good for cats (or dogs) - chocolate contains theobromine which is a diuretic and a cardiac stimulant, which can cause an increased/irregular heartbeat. Cat treats can be bought that look and taste like chocolate but they are made from a vegetable substitute, or they will have the theobromine taken out - which is much safer for your pet.

Scissal cat feeder - the winner!
Our lovely friends at Nice Cat Stuff donated this fabulous Neon Pink Scissal cat feeder worth £43.99 - everyone in the KatKabin office is very envious of the winner of our 'Describe your ideal cat toy' competition. We can now announce that the winner (who was chosen at random) is... Laura Hadland from Leicester. Laura has a kitten called Morrighan who keeps stealing the cleaning sponges from the kitchen and bathroom and taking them into the garden to play with. She loves them because they are soft and they fly up into the air when she flicks them from being stuck on her claw. Morrighan would love a cat scratching post which has durable rectangular sponges suspended on it from elastic then she could be entertained by it whenever she likes. Laura was delighted with her win, and thinks that Morrighan will be too!

Another Happy Cat - KatKabin Winner!
Yet another winner... this time the winner of our Purrs in Our Hearts Cat Forum giveaway was Shonagh Statten from Chesterfield in Derbyshire. Shonagh's name was chosen at random in the Purrs in Our Hearts Forum Members prize draw. Shonagh has four cats, Carrie, Sage, Astryd and Darwin. Carrie is 20 years old, and a rescue cat who came from the RSPCA, Sage is 8, and another rescue cat. Astryd is a 2 year old, fun loving, tortie cat and Darwin is the baby of the group at 8 months old who came from a rescue centre in Derby. Which cat will claim the Katkabin as their own?? >^..^<
